SUBDO(5) File Formats Manual SUBDO(5)

NAME

subdospecification for atypical subdo(7) packages

DESCRIPTION

subdo is the package format developed for the eponymous subdo(7) privilige separation software to allow package configurations that package managers ordinarily do not support. Here are some reasons you might use it.
The package is a directory with the following files.
bin
This file is a list of executable file paths to be exposed to the super user, one per line. Each path either is absolute or is relative the sub user's home directory.
super
If this exists and is executable, it will be run during the installation as the super user from the package directory.
sub
If this exists and is executable, it will be run during the installation as the sub user from the package directory.
